Transparency

Public Tracker (publictracker.xyz) is a free, open BitTorrent announce service. We do not require registration, ratios, or accounts for announce/scrape.

What we log

• Standard web server access logs (IP, user-agent, request path/query) for abuse handling and capacity planning.
• Announce/scrape query metadata at the HTTP layer. We do not store torrent payloads.

What we do not do

• No user accounts or private messaging.
• No content hosting — this is announce/scrape only.
• No sale of peer lists or browsing history.

Retention

Operational logs rotate on a short window (days, not years). Sealed telemetry is used only for security research on this honeypot fleet.
